Rates for ad concept & copywriting

 

With an infinite range of products and services each with infinite possibilities, it is impossible to give a quote until after the first briefing. A quote (estimate of expected billing) will be provided once we have established the nature and extent of service required.

My rates are very reasonably pitched alongside peers of similar talent.
With the cost of living in NZ, my rates are indeed very favourable for the international advertising agencies.

Though I have an hourly rate, most clients tend toward an upfront estimation of the full project costs.

Quotes will reflect the time required based on the level of finished presentation. A ‘one-off’ submission of rough concepts to get ‘the ball rolling’ will obviously take far less time than detailed body copy or highly polished 'print-ready' work.

Any additional fees, as per my terms and conditions, will also be detailed within the quote.

Clients will always be made aware of any additional costs , especially when a brief evolves into more than initially anticipated.

International taxes

As a freelancer you will not be liable to all the taxes of employing someone permanently.
Every country has its own minefield of taxes. If the 'guys in accounts' aren't sure of the policy I will seek advise.

Payment

A deposit of 25% of the total estimated cost is requested prior to execution of the project.

A detailed invoice will be furnished to the client upon completion of my services within the project.
Note: Payment 'terms & conditions' relate to ‘invoice submission date’ not ‘publication date’ of project materials.

A discount of 5% of the total project cost is offered to clients paying promptly upon final invoice of my services.

Remaining balance is to be paid 21 days from receipt of the final invoice for the completed project. Finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annually) on all overdue balances.
